Q: What is the Solar Hub, and how does it work?
Solar Hub is a survey station for environmental gases, noise, human and vehicle traffic. It works as a communication node that sends all the environmental data collected at a specific point in the city to the cloud.
Q: How many Solar Hubs does it take to cover a municipality?
It is advisable to install at least 4 Solar Hub every 1.2km2 to detect reliable information. In any case, the Solar Hub network has a flexible structure that allows it to adapt to each situation and each city, having the opportunity to increase its density if necessary.
Q: With what communication protocol system does it work?
Solar Hub is ready to work with 3G / 4G, WiFi, LoRaWan, ESP Now, and ESP Mesh communication systems.
Q: Is Solar Hub approved by an authorized body?
Solar Hub is a CE-certified product, all the integrated sensors have been calibrated based on sensors provided by an air quality monitoring station of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Q: Is the Solar Hub network for purchase or rental?
Currently, the purchase option is the only available.
Q: What environmental sensors does the Solar Hub incorporate?
The Solar Hub allows the incorporation of different types of environmental sensors to meet the needs of municipalities. From atmospheric pollution sensors such as NO2, SO2, O3, PM10, PM2.5, noise pollution sensors, and carbon dioxide sensors to control the greenhouse gases. Also, there are meteorological sensors such as Temperature, Pressure, Relative Humidity, Solar Radiation, UV Radiation, and wind sensors. Each Solar Hub can be customized by choosing the sensors’ interest, up to a maximum of 16 sensors.
It measures air quality using the parameters of the European Quality Index (EAQI), developed by the European Environment Agency.
P: ¿Se puede medir el nivel de concentración de los virus como el COVID19?
It has been shown that a high level of PM concentration in the air is related to a higher probability of C19 cases in a specific municipality. Solar Hub incorporates sensors for PM2.5 and PM10, and since it has been shown that viruses can use particles in suspension in the air to move from one place to another, knowing the level of air pollution will help us become aware and search for solutions.
Q: Can Solar Hub behave as a mobile unit?
Solar Hub was not born as a mobile unit but as a fixed node in a data network. If it were to move to another point in the city, reading the graphs in a given time would not provide consistent data to make good decisions.
Q: Can the Solar Hub replace an existing fixture?
Yes, the Solar Hub is the only gas survey station on the market that incorporates a high-efficiency LED system so that the existing luminaire can be easily replaced, thus taking advantage of the already installed metal pole and thus saving costs in civil works.
Q: Can Solar Hub be integrated into all poles?
Yes, although the correct installation depends on the metal pole, its diameter, and its thickness. Our commercial department has a table that will help decide if the existing metal pole has sufficient technical characteristics to support the weight of the Solar Hub, about 30kg.
Q: Does Solar Hub require maintenance?
The Solar Hub includes elements such as environmental sensors that require periodic maintenance to ensure that the data obtained is calibrated and reliable at all times. Siarq includes an associated contract where it is responsible for maintenance in the case described.
Q: Can the Solar Hub go without lighting?
No, Solar Hub has a built-in LED luminaire by default, which can be used both as a substitute for an existing light point and as an air pollution warning. It can emit both sparkles or illumination of a specific color.
Q: What is the Urban Brain, and how does it work?
Urban Brain is Siarq’s digital platform. It collects the data sent by the Solar Hub, and through an algorithm, it automatically transforms the data into environmental reports.
Q: Is Urban Brain interoperable?
Yes, the data collected in Urban Brain can be integrated into any variety of urban environmental platforms (like Envirosuite) or integrating platforms (like NEXUS, MINDSPHERE, or LOXONE).
Q: Are Urban Brain and Solar Hub compatible with Sentilo?
Yes, it is a compatible Sentilo solution.
Q: Is Urban Brain paid or free?
Urban Brain has two versions, a free FREEMIUM, and a PREMIUM paid version.
Q: What is the difference between the FREEMIUM and PREMIUM functionalities?
The FREEMIUM version allows access to all functionalities, except the automatic alarms and type 2 environmental reports.
Q: Can the Urban Brain platform be contracted and connected to existing sensors installed in a city?
Yes, it is possible as long as the PREMIUM yearly version is purchased.
Q: Can the data be downloaded in CSV format?
Yes, the data can be downloaded in CSV and Excel format.
Q: How many users per customer can the Urban Brain include?
The Urban Brain in its FREEMIUM version allows access to a different user per client, and the PREMIUM version allows access to three users per client.
